November 3, 2018 is National Housewives’ Day! We may think of “housewife” as an antiquated term, but today’s stay-at-home parents and diligent homemakers deserve credit where it’s due!

Our firm knows that not all working parents are men, and not all homemakers are women. Wolf & Shore Law Group wants to thank all of the stay-at-home parents! We know that being a homemaker is hard work. So much effort goes into packing every lunch, cleaning every room, raising the kids and cooking dinner for the family every night.

Many of Wolf & Shore Law Group’s clients are stay-at-home parents, and we understand the struggle that dissolution can be for them. When you have spent the most recent years taking care of your family and your home, and have not brought in an income, spousal support can be a major concern for your future.

Our office is able to calculate spousal support properly, and can file temporary motions during the pendency of your divorce if you need support then.

We use a multitude of factors to determine what you are entitled to in alimony and child support, including the same software that the Family Relations offices use in the courts.

Wolf & Shore Law Group also works with many professionals, such as financial advisors, accountants, and even vocational experts when necessary. They can help you create a budget that works for you, plan for taxes, and assess if the working spouse is earning less than for what he or she should be imputed, or help you determine your earning potential. They can also turn your spousal support into a major investment that can not only help you get back on your feet, but help you plan for your future as well.

If you are a stay-at-home parent, know that you are appreciated every day and not just on National Housewives’ Day! If you are a stay-at-home parent and contemplating divorce, please do not hesitate to contact us for a confidential consultation today!
