October Community Involvement: Giving Back, Team Spirit, and Making a Difference

At Wolf & Shore Law Group, we believe that being part of a community means more than simply working in it. It means showing up, giving back, and supporting the people and organizations that make our communities stronger. This October, we were proud to support an incredible lineup of local organizations, youth sports teams, and charitable events throughout Connecticut. From football fields and hockey rinks to fundraising events and Halloween celebrations, October was packed with opportunities to make a difference!

Supporting Glastonbury Youth Football Association

We were excited to continue our support of the Glastonbury Youth Football Association (GYFA) this fall! Wolf & Shore Law Group proudly sponsored GYFA’s annual golf tournament, helping raise funds for the organization’s youth football programs. We also sponsor the GYFA snack stand throughout the season, supporting the players, families, and volunteers who make game days possible. Youth sports teach valuable lessons about teamwork, perseverance, accountability, and dedication—values that we believe extend far beyond the playing field. We’re happy to help organizations like GYFA continue providing these opportunities to young athletes.

Supporting Girls’ Hockey with the Shoreline Sharks

We’re always happy to support young athletes, especially organizations that create opportunities for young women to excel in sports! This month, Wolf & Shore Law Group sponsored the Shoreline Sharks Girls Hockey program through its Golf Cove fundraiser. Girls’ hockey continues to grow throughout Connecticut, and we’re proud to support an organization that encourages young female athletes to develop their skills, build confidence, and compete in a sport they love. As an all-female law firm, we especially appreciate opportunities to support programs that empower the next generation of strong, confident young women—both on and off the ice.

Fueling the Greater New Haven Warriors

October was a busy month for the Greater New Haven Warriors, and Wolf & Shore Law Group was happy to help make it memorable! Ahead of the Andy Noel Columbus Day Tournament, we sponsored a Pasta Party for the Warriors hockey team. Nothing brings a team together quite like good food and some pre-tournament bonding! The event gave players and families an opportunity to spend time together before hitting the ice for a competitive tournament weekend. Later in the month, we continued our support by sponsoring the team’s swag bags for the Haunted Shootout Tournament. Tournament weekends are about more than wins and losses. They’re about friendships, teamwork, shared experiences, and making memories that last long after the final buzzer. We’re proud to play a small part in making those experiences special for these young athletes.

Running for a Cause: Hope After Loss 5K

Not all of our community involvement happens on the sidelines!

This October, Wolf & Shore Law Group was honored to both sponsor and participate in the Hope After Loss Footprints on Our Hearts 5K, supporting an organization that provides compassionate assistance to individuals and families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss. Hope After Loss offers critical resources, support groups, and a community of understanding for families navigating unimaginable grief. As family law attorneys, we recognize that families experience both moments of incredible joy and periods of profound hardship. Supporting organizations that provide comfort, connection, and hope during difficult times is especially meaningful to us.

We were grateful for the opportunity to participate in this event and help support such an important mission.

Halloween Fun at Saint Lawrence School

We wrapped up our October community involvement with a little Halloween spirit! Wolf & Shore Law Group donated a raffle basket to Saint Lawrence School’s Trunk or Treat event, helping support a fun-filled celebration for students and families. Events like Trunk or Treat bring school communities together and create wonderful memories for children. We’re always happy to contribute to the festivities while supporting local schools and the families they serve.

Whether we’re sponsoring youth sports, supporting charitable organizations, contributing to school events, or participating in local fundraisers, we believe that giving back is part of doing business the right way. We’re grateful to the dedicated coaches, volunteers, parents, organizers, and community members who make these programs and events possible. Their hard work creates opportunities, strengthens connections, and makes our communities better places to live.
