Rachael Levine is a Connecticut attorney whose practice focuses primarily on family law, juvenile/DCF matters, and complex cases involving children and families. She is deeply involved in the local legal and broader community, including her work with the Greater Danbury Bar Association and local nonprofit organizations such as Annie C. Courtney. Rachael is known for her strong advocacy, straightforward communication, and commitment to helping clients navigate some of the most difficult and personal circumstances of their lives.

Approach & Philosophy

Communication Style:

My communication style is direct, honest, and compassionate. I believe clients should understand not only what is happening in their case, but why it is happening and what it means for them. I try to explain complicated legal issues in straightforward language, give realistic advice—even when it may not be what a client hoped to hear—and make sure clients understand their options before making important decisions. I also believe strongly in documenting important conversations and following up with clear next steps so clients are not left wondering what happens next.

What Clients Can Expect:

Clients can expect me to be highly involved in their cases and thoroughly prepared. I want to understand the details, because in family, juvenile, and child-protection matters, the details often matter tremendously. I approach cases strategically while recognizing that the decisions being made affect real families and children. Clients can expect candid assessments of the strengths and weaknesses of their case, careful preparation for hearings and trials, and a clear understanding of what I need from them along the way. I will provide advice and recommendations, but I also recognize that it is the client’s life and case—I want clients to understand their choices and have a meaningful voice in the decisions we make.

Availability:

I place a high value on responsiveness and communication. Clients should expect regular updates and responses to substantive communications, generally within a reasonable timeframe, while understanding that court appearances, trials, meetings, and emergencies for other clients can sometimes prevent an immediate response. I believe availability means more than being reachable at every moment—it means making sure clients are informed, questions do not go unanswered, important issues are addressed promptly, and clients know where their case stands.
