Each month, we close the office for at least part of a day and do an in-person Firm Outing. Since we work remotely, we enjoy getting together with our staff in person and treating them to something fun. We will be doing a blog series on these outings so that you can follow our fun team-bonding adventures at Wolf & Shore Law Group!
This month, we got to learn about the art of glass blowing at Kinship Glassworks, located in Milford, CT.
We each chose what we wanted to make and then were able to work with the glassblowers to sculpt our own pieces. Chris, the Owner/Founder of the shop, was knowledgeable and hospitable. We also worked with one of his amazing staff members, Ryan, who was incredibly patient and walked us through each step of the process. They are both knowledgeable and truly passionate about their work.
It was a great environment to have some team bonding time, while also making a timeless piece of art to bring home. It was fun to learn the different techniques (for example, making a piece with dots versus swirls), and understand about how the different colored chips are created.
Check back next month to see what our November Adventure is. Here’s a hint: we will be having some fun in Wallingford, CT learning about a craft that blossomed with the invention of a wheel, which originated in Mesopotamia.
